Boulevardier

It was only about a year ago that I first tried Campari, but some time after that I discovered the Boulevardier, which quickly became probably my favourite drink, and probably the one I make most often after the quick and easy Old Fashioned. If you've never heard of it before, it can also be known as a Bourbon Negroni. I tend to like bitter things but this drink has the perfect balance between the bitterness of the Campari and the sweetness of the vermouth and bourbon.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml bourbon
  • 30 ml Campari
  • 30 ml sweet vermouth
  • Glass: Cocktail
  • Garnish: Orange or lemon twist

Instructions

Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cubes and stir well.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with an orange or lemon twist.
